Motivity

Motivity is an app that allows users to locate local trails, track their hikes, and find state parks all on the same app.  It must be designed in such a way so that the user is able to record and keep track of their workout while on the trail.  This project was a user based concept out of research.  Motivity was born after working with an individual to determine what their needs and wants were for a trail finder app.  Motivity means the power of moving or producing motion.  After all the research, the color blue was chosen to give the app a sense of variation from the other fitness and trail apps which consisted of earthy tones.  

To boost awareness of the Motivity brand, a 5K event was created so that participants can use the app while on the walk and run. The event poster and the mile markers were designed in a similar style to the simplicity of the app.
